We caught up with Chris Lee from ASRock today out at their Nangang booth and he was kind enough to provide us with a video booth tour of all their latest and upcoming products.

As you can see, ASRock is well prepared for the upcoming Intel P55 Express chipset launch and is also actively getting into other market segments with the NVIDIA Ion platform and other Intel Atom based solutions.

On our last day of Computex 2009 we took a look at what ECS has on offer. ECS moved from their booth at Nangang in 2008 to the Taiwan International Convention Center just adjacent to Hall 1 and the Grand Hyatt Hotel. This year we were given a bit of a look at what ECS thinks will be its big products for the year.

Like most companies now ECS has their own range or netbooks based around the Atom processor. This is one of their new ones.

ECS also has a new dual mode Mini-PCIe card that has both WiMAX and 3G capabilities; ideal for upcoming netbooks or notebook applications.

Small Form Factor PC’s are really kicking in and here is ECS’ most attractive one they had on display.

Moving onto the boards and graphics cards, here is a shot of ECS’ new X58B-A2 series.

Here is definitely something I want to get my hands on for review, an Atom based board that may give Intel something to complain about. This baby uses a 945G chipset, but is put into a Micro ATX format with a PCIe x16 slot, PCIe x1 and PCI slot with dual channel memory. ECS, we’ll have one for testing when you’re ready.

Looking at graphics cards, there wasn’t a whole lot to see. What did catch my eye was a GTX 295 with a rather funky 3-fan cooling system.

Hidden at the top ECS has its new P55 board on display waiting for the Upcoming Lynnfield processor.

Lastly, we have the AMD 785G based board. AMD hasn’t had a lot of coverage this year, most probably because nothing new has really come out.

Intel and NVIDIA haven’t said anything official about SLI support on upcomming P55 motherboards, however motherboard manufacturer J&W seems to have brought forth some confirmation of their own.

Just like the X58 motherboards, the P55 motherboards will not have an NVIDIA chip, however board makers will be paying a per-board fee for the SLI license. J&W is showcasing their P55 motherboard. While it looks similar to many other P55 based motherboards, it does have one difference. It bears the NVIDIA SLI logo on the motherboard.

On top support for dual NVIDIA GPUs, the board will also support CrossFireX ensuring that ATI is not left out of the mix. J&W’s board has four DDR3 DIMM slots, 8 SATA 3.0 ports, Gigabit LAN, and more. There was no word on pricing or availability.

eVGA shows off P55 motherboards at Computex

P55 was the word at eVGA today. With striking similarities to the Classified design here we see eVGA P55 chipset motherboard. Naming as I understand has not yet been finalized. P55 boards are pending a release in September this year, everybody is of course waiting on Lynfield aka Core i5 processors. This would be the EVGA codename 655 SLI FTW Edition (132-LF-E655) motherboard. As stated it will use 45nm socket LGA 1156 Lynnfield processors.

Considering Lynfield will be mainstream processors, this board is really high-end board with three PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots. It also features a PCI-E x1 slot positioned at the very top and two standard PCI slots.

Similar to the X58 SLI Classified, this board also features the red glowing “E” from eVGA, but just for fun of course.
